Customers and store credit

Per-customer history, how store credit works, and after-sales support

The Customers page lists everyone who has ordered from your store, with total spend, last order, and the date they became a customer.

The customer list

  • Search by email or name
  • Select several rows and copy their emails in one go (for an announcement to past buyers)
  • Click a row for that person's full order history at your store

Customers are identified by email. The same person ordering under two addresses counts as two customers, so always ask which email was used when helping someone.

What store credit is

Store credit is money a customer has pre-loaded with your store specifically.

Scoped to one store

Credit at your store cannot be spent elsewhere and cannot be transferred.

The only way to pay at checkout

Every order deducts credit. There is no per-order slip upload.

Two ways to load it

A bank transfer with a slip, or a TrueMoney gift voucher — both land in your own account.

Refunds return here

Refunding an order adds credit back to that customer rather than wiring money out.

Why it works this way

Slip verification costs money and has a daily ceiling. If every small purchase required its own slip, checkout would be slow and the ceiling would arrive fast. Letting customers load credit once and spend it many times makes buying feel like tapping a wallet, and leaves you with far less to verify.

What to keep in mind

Outstanding credit is money you owe your customers, not profit. The cash reached your bank at top-up time, but the goods have not been handed over yet. Do not read total transfers in as spendable revenue.

When a customer asks for cash back

There is no button that wires money back, because m1m never held it. If you agree to refund by transfer:

Check their remaining credit

Make sure the credit is still there and was not already spent.

Transfer from your own account

Keep the slip as your record.

Tell them that portion of credit is now spent

So that nobody ends up refunded twice.
